The first edition of the program was initiated in July 2022 by Women In International Security Poland, with the generous support of Northrop Grumman Corporation. This partnership is continued for 2024 with the second edition of the Mentoring Program introduced below.

The WIIS POLAND – NGC Young Female Leaders in Security Mentoring Program 2023-2024 is addressed to female students and young graduates from Polish universities, who are interested in pursuing their future careers in the area of international security, defense and peace studies. The program will gather 15 talented female students and 15 experienced mentors for a 10 months life-changing experience based on individual mentoring, skills-training sessions, study-visits and participation in the 2024 Warsaw Security Forum.

The program goal is to provide female participants with the tools and network required to successfully navigate the world of international security and defense, as well as overcome challenges faced by women in industry. The program will be held fully in English and will include 4 skills and competencies training sessions (3 in-person and 1 online), as well as an inauguration and graduation ceremonies. Additionally, the participants will have a chance to be invited to defense & security sector events, to deepen their networking and knowledge. The program will conclude with mentees and mentors participating in the 2024 Warsaw Security Forum.

Young Female Leaders in Security Mentoring Program 2023-2024 is a full scholarship program, which covers programming and full board for all participants.

*The program does not cover travel costs of participants to live sessions and accommodation in Warsaw.

”Our mission is profoundly important: Advancing the role of women in the field of international peace and security will be one of the keys to advancing peace and security in our world in the 21st century.
